Celebrating 25 Years Of Supporting Live Jazz Performance In Savannah
Although the Savannah Jazz Festival is the Coastal Jazz Association's "crowning jewel' and the most well-known of its events during the year, CJA is involved in many community service activities, The organization presents a monthly Sunday Concerts as well as gives scholarships to high school and college students pursing the study of jazz.
It also publishes a monthly newsletter of jazz information, provides jazz workshops, provides summer youth programs at local community centers, entertains area seniors with the big band concerts, supports local and regional jazz artists by providing a venue and an outlet for their talents, (for example, the Savannah Jazz Orchestra), and supports and oversees the Savannah Jazz Hall of Fame.
Equally as important, the Coastal Jazz Association provides assistance to jazz artists in need using a variety of fundraisers.
